My home-made CNC router milling some aluminium
Here my home-made CNC router is milling a scale RC helicopter tail rotor hub from a piece of 6082-T6 aluminium. You can see me spraying spirit on the work piece occasionally for cooling. This works great for aluminium.
hey man can can your cnc machine could be a milling i really want to make one.
My hat’s off to you sir!
@tahustvedt
Do you think a 1hp 5.7amp Bosch Colt router would suffice for aluminum milling? Yours is a bit more powerful with 1.4hp though.
vejam tambem meus videos….são muitos legais…….vejam
man man man thats so awsome. how much is it? i need one of those bad for a 5″ x7″ .25″ thick for a project im working on. thank you congrats!
Hi!!, have you any reference of your machine? I would like to know how did you made it, im interested in making one for me and yours looks cool.
This is a machine that i imagine
Great job, what is the name of this frezer and what is the price?
Great job
Nice job. I fly helis myself and just purchased a Sherline mill for that exact purpose. Heli parts, Though I found myself routing sings for everyone…..
thank you
Hi. I have a thread in the “DIY-CNC Router Table Machines” on cnczone. I can’t post a link here because Youtube is paranoid, but you’ll find i easilly if you search for my username, the same as my username here on youtube. The thread is called “Another MDF CNC router.”
hey can you show me or make a vid. how you assembled it and how you connected the electronical parts and how you programmed them if you did. im asking this cause im building my own rc heli
BTW sweet vid nice heli
cool, how about showing the machine itself, and maybe other bits yourve made.
Awesome work!! First video I’ve seen of someone using a home made CNC router for aluminium.
These are nema23 size motors with 1 Nm torque and 2,2 mH inductance.
What size stepper motors do you use? I’m designing a machine now for almost this smae application. I was going with 137/in.
Thanks
This is a Kress FME1050. It’s pretty good and has a wide selection of collets available.
whats the power tool you are using? I was looking into making my own cnc mill, for working with aluminum, and I am wondering if a plunge router would work.. anyways, so yeah whats are you using?
It’s called red spirit. A mixture of alcohol and fuchsin (for a red color).
nice, what are you using for coolant, windex?
so i have seen how easy these are to make(easy from an engineering mind) but how hard is it to get the programming and feed rate down/
what type of tool are you using? endmill?
way cool
anyone need machine parts?
u can make keychains 4 a living!
what driver use for de motors? are stepper? what model?
thanks and congratulations..
i sell milling parts n blades
