SHARPENING A MICRO TOOL Part 2 of 5 “Original sound” “HD”

In this second video, I present the way I use to sharpen a general purpose tool. Also it will be presented two milling demonstrations of the micro tool, employing steel and aluminum. I hope that you all like it.
At the remaining videos of the series, it will be showed many other sharpenings, involving many different micro tools and materials. I thanks for all comments; I appreciate them and routinely answer all.

Making a cone morse for a Sherline tailstock part 1 of 2 “HD”

At this vid, I show my method to construct a cone morse, exactily whit the same inclination angle of another, taked as the original,
By this way here presented, I had made many tools for my use, and I hope that others persons take advantage of it.
My preocupation is to simplify the work and, for this reason, I do my best, to that all my friends, even without CNC machines, can became animated and construct their own tools.
In my next videos, I will show, in a didatic way, as I made many other tools and dispositives.
I don’t know if my method is the more correct, but this is my way.
After the future part 2 of this vid, I pretend to show a great modication at the tailstock of a Sherline lathe, for adjusting of its center in relation to its headstock. ( this idea was born to solve the problem of my friend Franklin, from North Caroline, in USA.)
This next vid is already ready and I will post it here, soon.

Sherline Mill CNC 4 axis machining

My first g-code program to machine 3 flats and drill 3 holes. I would now drill holes by pocket milling, in hindsight. I was using Sherline EMC CNC software at the time, I switched to Mach3 now.

Sherline 5400 mini mill CNC spiral

My first home CNC operation ever: a spiral in g-code (CNC machine language) that came with the program. I’ve been wondering both what this thing would sound like, and how loud it would be. The answers are “not all that loud,” and “it plays music!”

The changes in frequency of the motors as they step through their sinusoidal positions creates changing vibrational pitches, which sound like musical notes. Sweet, metal shredding musical notes.
